Natural Looking Nose Aesthetics

While optimizing the breathing function of the nose, its appearance should be harmonized with other elements of the face.

The rhinoplasty makes a natural appearance and it is not clear that the aesthetic operation is undergone, and this increases the confidence. Thanks to the developments in aesthetic surgery, operations that protect both the basic function of the nose and provide the most ideal shape can be performed. Thanks to the developments in aesthetic surgery, there is no obvious scar in the nose and the new nose design is compatible with the face.

How to decide the new nose shape?

Preliminary work is done in the simulation program by taking professional macro photos of the patient in the consultation before the operation. Thus, the physician can have a clear idea of what kind of nose shape the patient wants. By contacting the patient about the most suitable nose shape for the face, the most suitable nose shape is decided.

How is a nose surgery done?

After giving detailed information to the patient about the open and closed technique, the operation is performed by selecting the most suitable technique to correct the deformity in the nose. The operation is performed by applying general anesthesia, that is, the patient is put to sleep. After an operation that takes an average of 2-2.5 hours, the patient is followed up. Generally, the patient is kept under observation in the hospital for 1 night and is discharged in the morning.

Who is it suitable for?

Any patient with a dysfunction of shape and function in his nose and whose facial development is completed may be a suitable candidate for rhinoplasty. Surgery can be performed safely in women 15-16 years old and in men after 16-17 years old. It can also be performed at an early age in patients with sinus function and accompanied by severe intranasal curves. There is no upper age limit as long as the patient's general health is in place in nose aesthetics.

What is the healing process?

Silicone pads placed to help breathe into the nose are removed after an average of 3 days. As the tampons are silicone and do not adhere to the tissues, the removal of the tampons is very easy and painless, contrary to what is thought. Thermal splint is taken in the 1st week. After the splint is removed, a nose bandage is applied for 2-3 days to reduce edema. Some rhinoplasty patients may experience a slight bruise depending on the sensitivity of their skin structures. Although the nose is swollen after the operation, the improvement in the shape of the nose is noticed by the patient from the moment the splint is removed. In the second postoperative month, 75% of the edema regresses. The remaining mild edema disappears completely in 6-12 months, and it takes approximately 2 years for the nose to take its full shape. Usually, after 1-2 weeks of rest, patients can return to work and social life.

What is Vaser Lipo and Liposuction?

Liposuction is one of the most common plastic surgery applications we do. The same technique is called by names such as lipoplasty, lipetomy, liposculpture. Liposuction is done to correct the contours of the body. For this, areas with excess fat are targeted, the targeted excesses are emptied and the transition to other body areas is softened. In order to get better results, the use of technological devices has been added to classical technique for the last few years. I now use the vaser system, which I think is more effective, in almost all my liposuction cases (Vaser Lipo). Thanks to the new systems, we both provide a more effective and sensitive fatty tissue discharge and facilitate the tightening of the skin in the discharged area.

What is it made for?

As a feature of your genetic structure, you can be an ideal liposuction candidate if you have extra fat accumulation in certain body areas or if you can not get rid of excess fat and contour impairment in certain areas of the body despite diets and sports activities. Lower and upper abdominal areas, lubrication around the waist called bagel, inner and outer areas of the thighs, inside the knees, arms, back, neck (tick), ankle and calf areas, and breast areas in men are the primary areas I intervene with vaser lipo.

How is it done?

Liposuction (liposuction) is technically relatively simple compared to other surgeries, but precise planning requires three-dimensional and artistic thinking for an aesthetically successful result. This application, which we can perform under general anesthesia or local anesthesia according to the size of the area to be treated and the number of regions, the patient's preference and the doctor's recommendations, must be carried out in a hospital setting. A few millimeter incisions are made around the areas to be applied for this surgery, which is made with metal instruments similar to a straw that we call a few millimeters thick cannula. By entering through these incisions, sterile fluid injection is made into the region with similar features as body fluids. These fluids make the application more homogeneous, smooth and without bleeding. If I plan to use the vaser system during the application, the excess oil in the region is melted with the vascular cannulas about three millimeters thick and the skin of the area is tightened. Immediately afterward, it is continued in accordance with classical liposuction technique and excess oil in the area is taken out with the cannulas. At the end of the operation, tight corsets, which will facilitate the desired healing of the application areas, are dressed and then the awakened patient is taken to the bed. The duration of the surgery, the type of anesthesia and the patient's characteristics are effective in the decision to discharge on the same day or to stay overnight in the hospital.

Postoperative…

Most of the time, postoperative pain is almost non-existent. The pain is at a level that can be easily overcome with ordinary painkillers. The rest period should be extended in direct proportion to the size of the operation. I would suggest that a patient with whom I intervened in many areas should have at least a five-day rest if possible. Return to daily life can take place immediately after these operations. Although it depends on the nature of the job, it is often possible to return to work within a few days. The most troublesome aspect of these applications is the corset application, which we can never compromise. That is why I have stated that the months we are in are suitable for liposuction and vaser lipo. It is an important comfort to bring about two months of corset dressing period, which is a difficult process to fold in hot weather, to fall and winter months. In this way, our patients get rid of their irritating excesses with little effort in total and have more natural and beautiful body lines.

Why Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty) Surgery?

Why is tummy tuck surgery done?

Tummy tuck surgery is performed in which situations? Every woman wants to be well-groomed and affect her environment, like the world stars that affect millions with their beauty and posture. It is not difficult to achieve this with the developments in the health sector.

Every woman wants to be well-groomed and affect her environment, like the world stars that affect millions with their beauty and posture. It is not difficult to achieve this with the developments in the health sector.

Now, anyone who wants can have a healthy and attractive appearance by prioritizing aesthetics. However, just like everything else, the right time is crucial for such appearance renewal processes.

There are some recommended periods for performing aesthetic operations. For example; breast, liposuction and abdomen in the spring period; In the last period of summer, nose, face lifting, and oil injection operations can be performed. In summer, a perfect body appearance can be achieved with endoscopic abdominal stretching operations that do not leave marks.

Already the whole aim of the developments in aesthetic surgery is to send the patients to their homes faster without hospitalization. In other words, daily surgery, less scar operations and getting more natural results.

Why do you need aesthetic intervention in the abdomen?

The main purpose of this surgery is to restore the abdominal tension of the abdominal muscles in patients who have not sagging in the abdominal skin but whose abdominal muscles are relaxed. The increase in fat in the abdominal wall is removed by liposuction, and the relaxation in the muscles is eliminated by stitching the muscles together with the endoscopic tools placed in a few small (1-2 centimeter) incisions made in the bikini area. If the patient has had cesarean before, the incision is limited to the cesarean scar. Since relaxation in the abdominal muscles is usually accompanied by sagging in the abdominal skin, abdominoplasty and mini-abdominoplasty are much more frequent surgeries. Over time, fat accumulates towards the middle of the body. There is an enlargement around the navel. In women, pregnancy and abdominal muscles are separated and the abdominal area is enlarged. This has to be reversed in some way. There are 2 basic operations for this. First, the skin is intact, but if there is an accumulation of fat, liposuction, liposhaping; the other is abdominal stretching if the skin is enlarged. Liposuction is a trackless surgery, but it is not very effective in relaxed abdomen, that is, it does not solve the enlargement of the abdominal area. Although abdominal stretching is very successful, it leaves a mark.
Where does the endoscopic tummy tuck surgery take place?
With the development of technology, laparoscopic surgeries are also used in aesthetics. The endoscopic tummy tuck surgery we perform is an example of this. So it's a new lane.

Who is this surgery suitable for?

Patients are divided into three. Young, liposuction to those who have not loosened the abdominal wall, only those with lubrication; Abdominal stretching operations where the abdominal muscles are repaired and excess skin and fat are removed for the patients whose skin is sagging and the abdomen is enlarged. However, there is a group between the ages of 35-45; her abdomen is enlarged after pregnancy, her belly circumference is enlarged, fat has accumulated, but her skin is tight. I can say that this group is ideal for endoscopic tummy tuck.

How does the person whose stomach is stretched go through?

We enter through the hole on the belly and pubis and remove the fat and skin from the inside. With the help of the television camera, we bring the internal muscles closer together and sew them from the inside. Since we have marked the shape of the abdomen from outside, we shape it accordingly. We narrow the belly inside. This operation takes 2-3 hours. We also do High Definition Liposuction. High Definition Liposuction is performed to form the abdominal muscles, chest muscles, lower back parts and the appearance of the hips. In High Definition Liposuction, unlike standard liposuction, more advanced forming techniques are used. Even with this operation, we can perform dislocations in the butt area and dimples in the waist area.

Is the advantage of this operation just that it is trackless?

In fact, the advantage of this operation is not just that it is trackless. In addition, this is an operation that shortens the healing process of the person undergoing the surgery. After this surgery, the person can easily wear a string bikini.

Liposuction in Turkey

Hello Everyone,

As you know, Turkey is the most attractive medical tourism destination around the World. Now, I am going to give you brief pieces of information about procedures especially about liposuction done in Turkey. My purpose is to give knowledge to everyone who considers having liposuction in Turkey. Because I am working as a patient consultant for a profound cosmetic company here in Turkey.

Liposuction surgery aims to remove fat from a particular area on the body. By having it done, you might have different methods, but I will explain now traditional liposuction (i will explain the different methods for liposuction from my different blog). In the traditional/classical method, small incisions of 1 to 2 mm are incised on the body to be thinned and resistant fats are melted by means of equipment.

If you also want to have liposuction in Turkey, you should be careful about the surgeon. Because surgeons should have experience in liposuction. How can you know it before deciding liposuction? You should ask the surgeon about his overall experiences such as before/after photos, asking his/her patient contact with yourself in order to get knowledge about that patient's experience. Also, there are lots of platforms that you can know about the surgeon such as Trustpilot, what clinic, etc., Moreover, you can also visit the surgeon's personal Facebook, Instagram, or youtube pages.

Is liposuction dangerous to do?
liposuction does not bear many risks, but as with any major procedure, liposuction carries some risks such as bleeding, reaction to anesthesia. Some complications to liposuctions are counter irregularities, appearing bumpy, wavy or withered because of uneven or insufficient fat removal from the areas, as well as skin elasticity issues.

Is Turkey a good place to do liposuction?
Turkey is really one f the best medical hubs in the World, thanks to its professional and qualified staff, lots of people, especially from the UK, prefer to join plastic surgery in Turkey.
Some important reasons to consider Turkey for the liposuction procedure.
  • Cost-Effective: Yes, Turkey is cheaper than both the UK and other European countries. But the quality-price comparison is far above the standards. Turkey has a really good health care system. Their hospitals use the latest technologies. When you compare price and quality, it should be considered as the best option. This has already proven its success in the fight against Covid-19.
  • Highly Extensive Results: Every year a great number of patients have been performed here in Turkey. Because surgeons are very qualified, experienced, and friendly.

Liposuction Pre-op and Post-Op Instructions

Pre-Op Instructions:

Stop all aspirin medications, female hormones, and herbal medications 10 - 12 days prior to surgery. Vitamins or minerals doses can be continued through the date of surgery. (Advise your surgeon)

Clean the surgical areas every day with the antibacterial soap starting 5 days prior to the surgery (But don't use on the face: body only).

Transderm Scopolamine (if available at your pharmacy) is to be applied behind the ear the night before surgery to help prevent nausea and vomiting. Wash hands immediately after handling. The patch may be removed after surgery when you are not having any nausea: it will make the mouth dry and can rarely make it difficult to read (blurry vision).

If prescribed, Emend 40 mg is to be taken the morning of surgery with a small sip of water.

(This tablet is synergistic with the Transderm Scopolamine in decreasing the risk of nausea after operations. These two medications, Transderm Scopolamine and Emend are optional medications, not necessary, but are prescribed in aim to help reduce the chance of nausea and vomiting after surgery. In spite of the use of these two medications some patients will still have some nausea and additional medications such as Phenergan or Zofran can be prescribed.)

Post-Op Instructions:

You should bring someone along with yourself to look after yourself whilst at the hospital.

It is highly important that you should take short walks every 1 to 2 hours in your home up until bed-time to prevent clots in the legs.

With every walk, we will want you to take deep breaths to expand the lungs (hence our expression “WALK AND BREATH EVERY HOUR” after surgery).

If you can't urinate for 8 hours after getting home, you will need to go to the nearest Emergency Room to have a catheter placed. This is rare.

You will be provided with medication to help manage the post-operative pain. Most patients do require this medication for the first week. Take the medication as prescribed and only as needed. We would like you to taper this medication starting beginning a few days after surgery to perhaps one tab every 4-6 hours. This medication will cause constipation and the best treatment for constipation from this medication is to get off the medication as soon as possible.

You can also use a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil (Ibuprofen) or allevie (Naprosyn) to help with the pain. Advil should be taken 400-600mg three times a day with food and the allevie should be taken 440 mg twice daily with food. DO NOT TAKE ADDITIONAL TYLENOL BECAUSE THERE IS COMMONLY TYLENOL IN YOUR PAIN MEDICATION. Also the medications should not be taken if there is a history of intestinal ulcers or significant reflux disease.

Slight temperature elevation during the first 48 hours after surgery is a natural consequence of the body’s reaction to surgical trauma. There is Tylenol in your pain medication that should control mild fevers. If the temperature is over 101, most of the time the cause is not walking or doing the incentive spirometry breathing treatments enough. Call us if your temperature stays higher than 101.5 for more than 8 hours and does not respond to walking, deep breathing, and coughing.

Activities:

Sleep with areas of liposuction elevated to help decrease swelling. Some patients choose to sleep in a recliner for the first several nights.

You may shower the day after surgery. Take all the dressings off but not the steri-strips (if present) right on the skin, wash all areas with soap and water, and then pat dry upon exiting the shower. No bathtub full immersion for several weeks after the procedure. After patting dry the incisions, new gauze or pads can be applied and the netting or tape or compression garment may be used to keep the pads in place. Dressings can be discontinued after there is no drainage for several days (commonly 5-7 days after the procedure).

Some doctors may advise compression garments, others do not recommend them. If your doctor has recommended them, please use these as directed by your surgeon. If your surgeon does not recommend the compression garments please just use the dressings as instructed. If you or a family member have had a blood clot (deep venous thrombosis or "DVT") please inform your surgeon and it is best you do not use any compression garments on the abdomen or thighs for at least the first month after surgery.

In the first few days when drainage from the liposuction sites is heaviest, change the gauze pads frequently if they become soaked. If the compression garment becomes too soiled, a second garment may be used and the soiled garment should be hand washed and air-dried. Alternatively, compression garments such as Spanx may be encouraged after the first-month post-op.

Remember to take brief walks every hour during the day, this will help to reduce swelling and decreases the chance of blood clots.

Do not drive within 6 hours of taking pain medication.

You may resume -normal activities, such as shopping and light chores as tolerated, usually after the first 3-7 days. An office job can commonly be resumed 3 to 5 days after surgery

Low impact cardio can be resumed after 3days.

Sexual activities can be resumed whenever comfortable. Since it is discomfort with the procedure, many patients do not resume sexual activity for 1to 2 weeks after the procedure. This is just up to the individual patient. Sexual activities will not compromise the results of liposuction procedures.

It is common not to have a bowel movement for 2-5 days liposuction due to the surgery and slower motility of the GI system from the medication. It is important to drink plenty of water, take the Colace, and taper the pain medication as soon as possible. Occasionally a stronger medication for constipation such as fleets enema or Dulcolax suppositories may be necessary.

What to Expect:

In common there is quite a bit of drainage of blood-tinged fluid from the liposuction incisions. This is normal for 24 hours and sometimes for 72 hours. The fluid that is draining out is usually the fluid placed into the fatty tissue to make it easier to remove. It is best to have plastic protectors for the bed, couch, or recliner where you plan to sleep.

Liposuction scars and incisions are generally small and tiny. The scars appear to be red and longing for 3-6 months. After that, they will fade and soften. They can take up to a full year for a scar to remodel and fade.

Some surgeons leave the incisions open to allow drainage. Others suture them or apply steri-strips. Regardless, it is best to keep the incisions covered with gauze or pads for 3-7 days. Due to the drainage accompanying liposuction, ointment application is most often not necessary.
.

It is normal to experience pain, pulling or pinching sensation, burning and electric shock sensations for weeks and sometimes months after surgery.

It is normal to areas of numbness and even some weakness for weeks to months after the procedure.

Swelling and bruising (sometimes severe) are to be expected for some weeks. The swelling will take several months to resolve. It is not uncommon to have foot ankle and leg swelling or swelling on other parts of the body, even though they were not operated on.

It is common to weigh more than before surgery in the first few weeks after surgery due to the swelling and extra fluid. This will improve over time.

Your physician may encourage deep tissue massage once you can tolerate it in order to mobilize the fluid to help your body get rid of the swelling.
